Emma loves climbing and loves watching her kids climb even more (which is next-level rewarding). Since returning to New Zealand and settling in Northland, the one thing she couldn’t stop thinking about was how much the region needed an indoor climbing space. After doing her bit at McKay Stadium and realising that complaining wasn’t getting the job done, she decided to build one instead.

That’s how Boulder House was born. Emma is the heart, hustle and big dream energy behind the project, possibly bankrupting the team along the way… but we’ll save the guilt for another day. Passionate, determined and community driven, she’s all in on making Boulder House a home for climbers of all ages and abilities.
